Anna takes great pleasure in balancing raku ceramics with painting. Texture and pattern are important elements to both, but the raku's unpredictable nature brings mystery and adventure; she enjoys not knowing quite what the end result will be. Painting of course allows greater control and is more immediate in terms of results.
